Yes. Our prom dress appointments allow you to enjoy a relaxed, one-to-one experience with one of our stylists. This gives you plenty of time to browse our collection, try on different styles and find the perfect prom dress without feeling rushed.
We recommend starting your search around 6-9 months before your prom. Shopping early gives you the best choice of styles and sizes and allows plenty of time for ordering and any alterations if needed.
This depends on the designer and whether your chosen dress is in stock. Ordered dresses can take a few months to arrive, so we always recommend shopping early. If your prom is approaching, we also have off-the-peg dresses available.
Our prom dresses are designer gowns, including beautiful styles from leading brands such as Morilee. Prices typically start from around £400, with the final cost depending on the designer, style and details of the dress. Our team can help you find a stunning gown to suit your style and budget.
Yes. We offer a flexible payment option to help make finding your dream prom dress easier. A 50% deposit is required when ordering your dress, with the remaining balance payable once your gown arrives in store. Our team will be happy to explain the payment process during your appointment.
Yes. We have a selection of beautiful off-the-peg prom dresses that can be taken home the same day, subject to availability.
We recommend wearing nude underwear and bringing any shoes or accessories you already have, although it’s not essential. Most importantly, bring an open mind - you may fall in love with a style you hadn’t considered.
You’re welcome to bring a small group of family or friends whose opinions you trust. We generally recommend bringing no more than two or three guests to help keep the experience enjoyable and stress-free.

In many cases, yes. Depending on the designer and availability, we can order your chosen dress in different sizes and colours. Our team will be happy to discuss the available options during your appointment.
We do everything we can to avoid this. Once a dress has been purchased for a particular school, we keep a record to help ensure we don’t sell the same style and colour combination to another student attending that school.
As prom dresses are often specially ordered, returns and exchanges are usually not possible. We’ll explain our policy when you place your order, and we’re always happy to answer any questions beforehand.
Don’t worry. We offer an alterations service for dresses purchased from Scarlett’s Frocks & Threads to help achieve the perfect fit before your prom.
